2009.03.07

THE LAKE

“This year you’re safer in the ocean”

BRIEF SYNOPSIS:

It’s nearly tourist season at the largest lake in the Midwest when tragedy strikes; a young couple is savagely attacked while boating. All that’s found is a blood smeared boat and a frightened dog cowering beneath a seat. Just as a search for the killer begins another attack takes place on a young boy swimming near his home. Shaken, but alive he describes his attacker, not as a human, but a large shark with a gaping mouth and a snout shaped like a bull. As the bloodbath from these predators ensues, Taylor, a local female cop joins up with Pete, the son of a deceased rogue scientist whose lifelong work, The Apex Project, is now being tested on the unsuspecting residents of the lake. Together, this unlikely pair must assemble a team to capture and kill these fresh-water adapted sharks before the hunters become the prey.
